CorporateWellness Workshopsin Calgary

Evidence-based team workshops from a Registered Social Worker with 15+ years in mental health.

Most corporate wellness programs treat people like they need motivation. Our sessions start somewhere different - with the nervous system, with what’s actually happening in the room, and with the belief that people do their best work when they feel genuinely safe.

Led by Julien Lepage (MSW, RSW #9906), available in-person across Calgary, Edmonton, and Alberta.

When “team building” hasn’t been working

You’ve tried the ropes course. The off-site. The keynote with the slides about culture change. And then everyone went back to the same dynamics on Monday morning.

Here’s what usually gets missed: people can’t absorb new ways of working when their nervous systems are still managing threat. Reorganization stress, leadership changes, burnout, and unspoken conflict don’t get left at the door. They sit in the room and shape everything.

Our corporate wellbeing sessions are built around a different premise - that sustainable team change starts with felt safety. Not as a concept. As a physiological state. When people actually experience it together, something shifts that a slide deck can’t touch.

This is not the wellness program your HR team has to defend to leadership. It’s the one they can explain.

Who this is built for

Castle Wellness corporate sessions are designed for organizations navigating real complexity - not just teams looking for a fun afternoon.

We work with:

  • Teams coming through restructuring, layoffs, or leadership change - where trust has been strained and people need a way back to each other before they can move forward
  • First-responder organizations and public-sector teams - where chronic stress exposure and operational culture make it hard to name what’s actually going on
  • Organizations managing change fatigue - where people have been adapting for so long they’ve stopped believing change is worth it
  • HR and People leaders building psychological safety - who need something they can point to that is evidence-based, clinically grounded, and not performative
  • Organizations with reconciliation commitments - looking for Indigenous relations education that is honest and respectful, not box-ticking

Sessions are available in-person at your location across Calgary, Edmonton, and Alberta. Virtual delivery available for select programs.

What happens in the room

Sessions don’t start with an icebreaker. They start with presence.

Before any content is introduced, we create the conditions - through breath, movement, or sound - that allow people to actually arrive. Most teams spend the first hour of any off-site still mentally in their inbox. We don’t let that happen.

From there, the session is co-created with the group. Depending on the program, that might mean:

  • A facilitated conversation about what’s actually true on the team right now (not the version that goes in the debrief report)
  • A rhythm-based group exercise that makes the team’s communication patterns visible - and then changes them
  • A guided experience with sound or somatic tools that regulates the nervous system and creates a shared reference point for what “grounded” feels like
  • Applied leadership content anchored in real scenarios, not theory

Every session closes with a concrete integration practice - something the team can bring back to the workplace the next day.

Half-day and full-day formats are available. We recommend starting with a consultation to match the right format to what your organization is actually dealing with.

What We Offer

Empowered Leadership Workshops

🔹 For Growth & Transformation

Strong leadership isn’t a personality type - it’s a set of practiced capacities. This workshop builds the internal skills that make external leadership sustainable: emotional regulation, self-awareness, adaptability under pressure, and the ability to create psychological safety for others.

Grounded in evidence-based frameworks including ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), DBT skills for emotion regulation, and trauma-informed leadership principles. Designed for leadership teams, managers, and emerging leaders navigating complex environments.

"I’ve attended dozens of leadership retreats in my career, but nothing has come close to the impact of this experience. From the moment our team stepped into the room, it was clear this wasn’t another lecture on best practices. It was immersive, alive — a space where vulnerability met vision, where honest conversations sparked creative breakthroughs. We left not only with strategies and tools, but with a deeper understanding of each other and ourselves as leaders. Months later, we’re still drawing on what we learned, and our team dynamic has never been stronger."

Bridging Wisdom

🔹 Indigenous Relations & Education

Cultural understanding isn’t a compliance exercise. It’s a leadership capacity. This workshop, led in collaboration with Walter MacDonald White Bear, builds authentic Indigenous cultural competency through Medicine Wheel teachings, respectful protocols, and honest dialogue about reconciliation in the workplace.

Customized for your organization’s specific context and stage. Available as a standalone session or as part of a broader organizational wellness program.

"It wasn’t just a workshop — it was a powerful shift in how our entire team saw reconciliation and cultural understanding. Walter’s teachings were both ancient and strikingly relevant, weaving stories and lessons that left us humbled, inspired, and ready to show up differently in the workplace. We walked away not only with a deeper understanding of Indigenous culture but with practical ways to build authentic relationships rooted in respect and trust. It was a rare experience that still echoes in our conversations months later."

Sounds of Resilience

🔹 Mental Wellness & Self-Care Workshops

Mental wellness doesn’t start with talking about mental wellness. It starts with the body - with creating a physiological state that makes it possible to actually rest, connect, and reset.

In collaboration with Marcus Fung, these sessions use sound therapy and mindfulness practices to regulate the nervous system at the group level. Evidence-based and accessible to everyone in the room, including the skeptics.

“I didn’t know what to expect — but what unfolded was extraordinary. The sound bath wasn’t just relaxing; it felt like layers of tension dissolving with every note. Our team, even the skeptics, walked away calmer, more present, and deeply connected to each other. It gave us tools to bring mindfulness into the workday, but more than that, it reminded us that well-being isn’t a perk — it’s the foundation for doing our best work together.”

Clinically grounded. Not corporate fluff.

The difference between a wellness session that lands and one that gets forgotten by Tuesday is clinical depth. Castle Wellness workshops are designed and led by Julien Lepage - Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW #9906) with 15+ years of clinical experience in mental health, addictions, and trauma-informed practice.

That background shapes everything: how the room is held, how resistance is welcomed rather than managed, how the session adapts in real time to what the group actually needs. It’s the difference between facilitation and therapy-informed facilitation.
